The idea

People don't gather around cabinets. They gather around the counter.

It's where homework gets done, where the wine gets poured, where everyone ends up standing anyway. That surface deserves better than a three-week wait for a number scribbled on the back of an invoice.

A woman standing in her kitchen looking at her phone

It starts with the phone already in your hand.

How it works

Four steps, one evening, no appointment.

01

Scan your kitchen

Walk the room holding your phone. Novaclad reads the space in three dimensions and traces your countertop as you go. No tape measure, no one in your house.

02

Choose your surface

Pick your material, edge profile, backsplash and cutouts from premium stone lines — and see what each choice does to the price before you commit.

03

See the real number

An itemized estimate — material, fabrication, edges, cutouts, tear-out, install. Line by line, from your actual measurements. Not a range, not a "starting at."

04

Reserve your spot

Ready to go? Reserve your slab and your place on the build schedule with a card. A real local fabricator takes it from there — template, cut, install.

Transparency

A real number, broken out line by line.

Most countertop quotes arrive days later as a single figure, after someone has been to your house.

Novaclad shows you the whole build instead: square footage measured from your actual kitchen, your material at your fabricator's real price, edge runs, sink and cooktop cutouts, backsplash, tear-out and install. Change the edge profile and watch the number move.

  • Priced from your measurements, not a rough sketch
  • Material, fabrication and options each broken out — never one mystery number
  • Swap materials and options and see the price update
  • No sales visit required just to get a number

Why Novaclad

Fast where it should be fast. Human where it has to be human.

We didn't automate the craftsman out of your countertop. We automated the two weeks of waiting that used to sit in front of him.

Measure tonight, priced tonight

The part of a remodel that normally takes two weeks of phone tag and scheduling now takes an evening at your own counter.

Measured to fabrication standard

Your phone captures the room in three dimensions, then Novaclad tightens it with real shop-floor logic. This is a takeoff, not a guess.

Nothing hidden in the number

Material, labor, edges, cutouts, delivery, install — every line shown, so you know exactly what you're paying for and why.

No showroom, no appointment

Design at your own pace, in your own kitchen, at eleven at night if that's the only hour you've got. The slab yard can wait for you.

Reserve with a card

When you're ready, a secure payment link locks in your material and your place on the fabrication schedule. No deposit ambush, no surprises.

Human-powered, app-assisted

Novaclad removes the waiting, not the craftsman. A vetted local fabricator templates, cuts and installs your top — and puts their name on it.

The app

Measure your space. Choose your surface. Make it real.

01 / 03  ·  Aim

Start your scan off right

Hold the phone near the counter, aim, and tap to set your first corner. Novaclad locks onto the plane of the surface before you move.

02 / 03  ·  Draw

Walk, tap and draw

Trace the countertop as you walk around it. Tap to add a point, undo anything you don’t like — no tape measure, no one in your house.

03 / 03  ·  Analyze

Watch it dial in

Analyze adjusts every captured point to quote-grade measurements in seconds — then turns them into an itemized price.

Questions

Countertop questions, answered plainly.

How much does a new countertop cost?

Installed and including tax, projects priced through Novaclad typically land between about $120 and $165 per square foot of ordering area — your counters plus backsplash, waterfall and a cutting allowance. That band comes from running representative projects, from a bath vanity to a large kitchen with a waterfall island, through the same pricing engine the app uses, at every material tier in the current price book.

The sample estimate above is one of those runs: a mid-size L-shaped kitchen, 45 square feet of Tier 3 quartz with an upgraded edge, sink and cooktop cutouts, tear-out and plumbing — $6,171 all-in.

Two things move you inside the band. Material tier is the obvious one. The less obvious one is size: tear-out, plumbing and installation trips cost nearly the same on a 14-square-foot vanity as on a 45-square-foot kitchen, so small projects sit near the top of the band and large ones near the bottom. It's why a per-foot average is a poor way to budget — and why Novaclad prices your actual measurements instead.

Do I need a particular iPhone?

An iPhone 12 Pro or newer, running iOS 17 or later. The Pro and Pro Max models carry the LiDAR sensor Novaclad uses to read a room in three dimensions; the standard models don't have it. The app checks on first launch and tells you either way.

Is a phone scan accurate enough to cut stone from?

No — and Novaclad doesn't claim otherwise. The scan gets the geometry roughly 90% of the way there, fabrication logic closes most of the rest, and your fabricator's own tolerance and contingency close the gap to a number they'll commit to on a work order.

Nothing is cut from a phone scan. The shop still templates on site before a saw touches a slab, exactly as they do today.

Does someone still have to come to my house?

Once, and not for the quote. You get your price without anyone visiting. When you're ready to build, the fabricator comes out to template — that's the measurement they actually cut from, and it's the safety net that makes the estimate worth trusting.

What materials can I price?

Quartz, porcelain and other ultracompact surfaces, granite, quartzite, marble and soapstone, including lines from premium supplier brands. What's actually available depends on what your local fabricator stocks — you're browsing their catalog, not a national one.

Who actually builds and installs the countertop?

A vetted local fabrication shop, not Novaclad. In the St. Louis metro that's Rock Creek Granite, which is a trade name of Fourfold Futures LLC — a separate company under common ownership with Novaclad LLC. It is not an independently selected fabricator, and you're free to get quotes from anyone else.

What does Novaclad cost to use?

Nothing. The app is free to download and free to use, estimate included. You pay the fabricator for the countertop itself.

Where can I use Novaclad?

The St. Louis metropolitan area at launch. Novaclad places one fabricator per metro and opens new markets as shops sign on. If you run a shop and your metro is still open, the Founder-Partner program is further down this page.

Rock Creek Granite Launch partner

Built inside a working stone shop, not a software lab.

Novaclad was built at Rock Creek Granite in Imperial, Missouri — a fabrication shop that has cut and installed thousands of countertops.

Every measurement rule, yield calculation, edge price and contingency in the app came off that shop floor. That's why the numbers still hold up when the slab reaches the saw — and why fabricators recognize a Novaclad work order the moment they open it.

For fabricators

The number holds. Here's exactly how.

You've been sold quoting software before. So here's the honest arithmetic behind every Novaclad work order — and precisely where the safety net sits.

90%

LiDAR gets us there — literally.

The customer's phone captures the room in three dimensions and traces the countertop in place. Not a photo, not a sketch faxed over from a builder: an actual dimensional capture of the space they're standing in.

95%

AI trained on fabricator knowledge closes the next five.

Raw scan data isn't a work order. Novaclad's model was trained on how a real shop reads a kitchen — seam placement, slab yield, edge runs, sink and cooktop cutouts, backsplash and waterfall. It turns geometry into a takeoff you recognize.

100%

Your margin of error and contingency close the rest.

You set the tolerance and the contingency, and Novaclad applies them to every takeoff before it reaches you. That's what turns a 95% capture into a 100% price you can actually commit to on a work order.

And the field template is still the last word.

Nothing gets cut off a phone scan. You template on site exactly as you do today, and the template verifies the number before a saw touches a slab.

If reality differs — an out-of-square wall, a cabinet that moved, a customer who changed the edge profile — it becomes a change order: priced, documented, approved, on the record. You don't absorb the surprise, and nobody argues later about what was agreed.

A work order, not a lead. Here’s what lands with you.

  • An accurate, customer-made estimate Measured by the customer’s own scan, priced line by line from your price book — before you’ve spent a minute on it.
  • A defined scope of work Emailed to the customer and to you, so both sides agree on what’s being built before anyone commits to anything.
  • A DXF drawing of every piece Dimensioned, with notes for overhangs, edges, waterfalls and backsplash — ready to drop into your CAD/CAM workflow.

In pilot The same measurement and analysis engine is being piloted for automatic capture and management of offcuts and full-slab inventory — working with fabricator systems toward material economy, dynamic pricing, and better margins on every slab you buy.

Your pricing

Your material costs, your labor rates, your edge and cutout pricing. Novaclad quotes your book — not a regional average.

Your tolerance

You set the margin of error and the contingency percentage applied to every takeoff before you ever see it.

Your approval

Every work order lands with you before it becomes a commitment. Accept it, adjust it, or decline it.

Your catalog

Show what you actually stock. Customers browse and price from your slabs, in your market, at your rates.
